Ramky Pharma City (India) Limited is a most successful Public-Private initiative. It is a Special Purpose Vehicle launched by Ramky group and APIIC, a government of Andhra Pradesh enterprise with equity participation. The total Extent of the City is spread over 2400 acres with assortment of facilities required for Pharma industry.
A total of 58 industries have been registered till date. . The presence of leading international players like Eisai Pharma technology (I) Pvt ltd, a Japanese Pharma giant, M/s PharmaZell (I) Pvt ltd., a Company belonging to a German Pharma group, M/s. SNF (I) Ltd with French collaboration, M/s Aptuit Laurus Labs with the US collaboration brings into India, the latest technology pertaining to Pharma manufacturing. All these players have their own strategies for expansion. These are placed among the Indian Pharma leaders like Smilax Laboratories, Glochem, Orchid, Emmennar Biotech etc.The current employment status is to the tune of 5000 plus and once it becomes fully operational, it has the capacity to generate an employment potential of 30,000. The advent of Park resulted in considerable change in the Socio-Economic status of the people in surrounding areas.
We have developed strategies for the establishment of a Container Terminal, Truck Terminals, Tank form storage system, Warehouses etc.
Setting up of JNPC :
- An initiative taken by the government of Andhra Pradesh to develop an exclusive hub for Bulk Drug, Pharmaceuticals, Chemical and allied industries under “Public–Private- Partnership”.
- M/s APIIC a government agency and M/s Ramky Group formed a consortium and launch a Special Purpose Vehicle - M/s Ramky Pharma City (India) Limited to implement the Pharma City Project.
- The Govt of Andhra Pradesh named the Pharma city as Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City vide G.O.Ms.No. 52 Ind.& Comm. (INF).Dept., dt 21.2.2005.
